Cybercrime thriller “Antarjal” has taken the digital entertainment platform Toffee by storm, surpassing 10 million minutes of streaming within just two weeks of its release. The film, a creation of Dhaliwood, introduces a new genre to Bangladeshi cinema and has captivated audiences with its compelling narrative and stellar performances.
Directed by Deepankar Deepan, “Antarjal” premiered on the Toffee, a Banglalink owned streaming app on December 21, 2023. The movie explores cyber threats, foreign conspiracies, and the courageous fight of a group of young individuals against invisible powers on the internet. It sheds light on the role of technology in addressing social crises and showcases the resilience of youth facing cyber challenges.
Produced with the support of the Bangladesh government’s ICT Division, “Antarjal” is a joint production of Motion People Studio and Spellbound Leo Burnett.
The film’s success extends beyond the borders of Bangladesh, with its theatrical release on September 22, 2023, reaching 150 theaters in the United States and Canada. “Antarjal” has sparked discussions on social media platforms, demonstrating the film’s impact on audiences globally.
