Infinix, the cutting-edge technology brand, stole the spotlight at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2024 in Las Vegas with the revelation of two groundbreaking charging technologies – ‘AirCharge’ and ‘Extreme-Temp Battery.’
At the exclusive ShowStoppers event during the second week of January, Infinix showcased ‘AirCharge,’ an over-the-air wireless charging marvel that liberates users from the constraints of cables. This revolutionary technology empowers users to charge their smart devices from a distance of 0–20 centimeters (7.87 inches) without any physical contact with the charging pad, delivering up to 7.5W of wireless power.
Infinix achieves this remarkable feat through its state-of-the-art multi-coil magnetic resonance technology and adaptive algorithms. Notably, AirCharge functions seamlessly even when the transmitting and receiving coils are tilted at an angle of up to 60 degrees, catering to the needs of users who wish to charge their devices while gaming or watching videos, without the inconvenience of tangled cables.
To ensure safety amidst the wireless charging experience, Infinix has integrated an over-voltage protection circuit at both ends of the charging process. The charging pad’s versatile installation options, including underneath a table, further enhance user convenience, allowing uninterrupted phone usage during charging.
In addition to AirCharge, Infinix revealed its ‘Extreme-Temp Battery’ technology, specifically designed to address the challenges faced by mobile phones in extremely cold environments. Traditional lithium-ion batteries often struggle with freezing, capacity reductions, or inability to charge at low temperatures. Infinix’s Extreme-Temp Battery defies these limitations, remaining operational even at an extreme temperature of -40°C. Anticipated to debut on an Infinix phone as early as the second half of 2025, this innovative battery technology promises to redefine the durability and performance standards in the industry.
